Who We Are
Founded in 2014 by Patrick Rodrigues, Cape Verdean Beautiful People began with a vision to celebrate the beauty, resilience, and achievements of Cape Verdean people worldwide.
What started as a Facebook community evolved into an international media platform connecting Cape Verdeans across generations, countries, and continents.
For more than a decade, CVBP has amplified voices, celebrated milestones, preserved cultural heritage, and shared stories that deserve to be told.
A milestone in our history
CVBP holds the distinction of being the first Cape Verdean Facebook community to reach 100,000 followers — a milestone in our history.
What We Do
Seven recurring editorial series carry our mission — news, history, language, food, and the people who make this community what it is.

Our history. Our legacy. Maritime roots, migration, independence, and the moments that made Cape Verdeans who we are.
Discover Cape Verde
Discover Cape Verde — surprising, verified facts about our ten islands, our people, and our contributions to the world.
Our language. Our identity. Words, expressions, and proverbs from Kriolu — with the island variety each one comes from.
Cape Verdean excellence — musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs, educators, and everyday people whose stories deserve a wider audience.
The stories that unite us — immigration journeys, family traditions, and community members making a difference where they live.
Faith. Hope. Unity. A moment of reflection and encouragement — welcoming to every member of our global community.
Inform. Educate. Inspire. Celebrate. Unite. Every CVBP feature serves at least one of these purposes.

Uplifting our people, amplifying community needs, and connecting Cape Verdeans to one another and to help when it matters is part of why this platform exists.
